The two staff working at Stanly are doing a very good job. Their work space inside and outside is clean and managed as well as expected. They have blended into the environment and are working hard, and it is very much appreciated.

SAF worked late last night and manually enrolled all alarm panels that were installed after March 2011 into the database. We had full protection by midnight. SAF continues to show us why we invest so heavily in that relationship. They busted their back sides this weekend to cover our potentially serious concern.

Your technician did a great job for me on this project. They were able to troubleshoot and correct three non-operating cameras and service all the other older model cameras we have (lubricating, cleaning, etc.). The difference is outstanding. Because of the improvement I see, I will want to have this service performed again on a recurring frequency.
Thank you for the quick and efficient work on installing our new cameras. Several of my staff commented on how friendly he was, how respectful he was of noise interruptions and how well he cleaned up. I just wanted to let you all know that Terry did a great job last night getting the door fixed for our client. A door wasn’t locking correctly, and it needed to be remedied by the time they were going to lock up for the night at 9:00. Terry showed up, diagnosed the issue and had it resolved by 7:59 pm. I just wanted to let you know how relieved the staff at Turning Point Academy is with the locks that have been added to the doors in between classrooms Terry was able to get all the locks in and the doors look great. Terry worked well with the staff that was onsite as well as stayed professional while working around the challenging students that were onsite for summer school.
…I just wanted to forward some of the praise I received yesterday from the staff at Reid Park Academy. They asked that we extend their thanks and gratitude to Aaron and Jason for doing such a great job yesterday. They were impressed with their professional, friendly attitudes and how they really took the safety and convenience of the school’s staff and students as a priority.
The staff mentioned said several times how Aaron and Nick had such good attitudes and were both polite and courteous the entire time they were on the job there. The equipment came up in less time than we were planning for and I even had to listen to how much better the data room looked when they were done compared to how it looked before they started. Thanks again on another job well done.
… That door was a high priority issue with us. It was a great experience for me late Friday afternoon when my superiors called with concerns about the security at that campus and I was able to assure him that the issue was addressed and resolved. I also received comments from the school expressing their appreciation for Jason’s professionalism and for being so thorough.
… I have already received compliments in regards to the tuning up Terry and Jeff performed on all of the doors at our Pawtuckett campus. This kind of attention to detail is helping make the move for this school a success and is certainly making us look good here in the Building Services side. In reference to a service request for us on Friday afternoon, when most people are doing what they can to get off work early for the weekend, Aaron showed his primary concern was leaving the Atrium in a condition that we considered to be to our satisfaction. Aaron was thorough in checking the entire building, not just the door that was reported to be malfunctioning, and was willing to work as late as needed to ensure everything was working as intended. Thank you for another positive experience.
I just wanted to take a few moments to recognize Eric for his excellent customer services skills. Recently SAF Technologies took over as the primary vendor to support the Onguard access system here at the Government Center. Eric stuck with the upgrade throughout the whole process working diligently and nonstop until all the issues were resolved. Eric remained very professional through the entire (sometimes very stressful) project.
I once again want to sing the praises of Joel. Joel didn’t complain or get upset about the work ahead of him and the demands that I placed on him. He instead completed both assignments flawlessly and on-time. Additionally, I never have to worry or be concerned with the quality of his work or his due diligence when addressing problems. When he’s on the job, I know I’m going to be satisfied!
I do appreciate you guys and all you do and most importantly how you do it. All three of your guys that were here on Saturday acted like it was no big deal which is a true sign of excellent customer service when I know inside they were wishing they were home with their families. Your team went well above and beyond the call of duty last night (or should I say this morning). They worked through most of the night (until about 3AM). Had they not completed their task (i.e. the cameras not worked) CHS would have had to delay treatments this morning. As always SAF comes through.

I just wanted to forward my opinion of Jason’s performance in the repair of a crucial door protecting the Pharmacy at CHS University. The call came in at approximately 1:30 am on Saturday 9/10/17. Jason took the cylinder apart only to find a broken piece inside. He was able to locate a spare cylinder in Maintenance, and used the piece from that cylinder to correct the Pharmacy door. He was there until somewhere between 5 and 6am.Jason exemplifies the reason I call SAF Service in the middle of the night.
I would like to take a minute to thank Daniel for his efforts at the new installation of Healthy at Home – Blueridge. Daniel faced an uphill struggle from the onset, and displayed excellent political skills by keeping the job on track without any unnecessary drama. There were several last minute changes that were made, and Daniel performed them seamlessly.I am grateful to have such a talented technician on my team, he represents SAF extremely well (he’s a keeper!
I wanted to take a moment to recognize Mark and Matt. They recently installed card readers in the POM Administration area. I received several comments from POM leadership regarding how professional Matt and Mark were. Leadership was particularly pleased with how clean everything was when they came in the next day. I am very appreciative that Mark and Matt volunteered to perform this project, even though it required working late hours/overnight. I could not be onsite that night but I knew the project was in good hands.
I just wanted to send a shout out about my PM Joel. I know he has a lot on his plate and wears many hats. It is so nice to see that when it is necessary to meet a deadline, or if it is just what needs to happen to keep my project on schedule, he does what he has to do. It is necessary to make you aware of his attention to detail and willingness to do whatever it takes to complete the task at hand.
This is a great example of SAF’s core values. This was an emergent call that was thrust on us from the highest levels of the organization. Not only was Donn prompt, he was efficient, professional, communicative and understanding of the situation. This turned into a rather late afternoon call for him and Aaron. Joel’s assistance in quickly identifying a suitable replacement was key to the success of this entire effort. I am extremely thankful to have partners like SAF that step up when we need them.

As evidenced by his prolonged support of our Enterprise Picture Perfect outage last night, Donn remained engaged and committed to seeing all of Pineville’s related issues through to resolution. I wanted to take time out and commend your employee Bob. He came into our busy office on October 31, 2018 to replace many locks on our doors. Bob was so sweet and compassionate with our patients and “us” the employees. He was very helpful with the girls to make sure each of our keys worked before he left. We wanted to let you guys know about the tremendous work Greg has accomplished at Behavioral Health. This Wednesday alone he solved 3 perceived issues with the staff which resulted in solutions to their concerns immediately and allowed the work to progress. The staff knows and trusts Greg, and his concern for patient and staff safety at this facility is evident to everyone there. Thanks to Greg and thanks to SAF for the hard work.
I wanted to commend Donn for jumping on this and taking care of an issue for us. Our cameras were streaming a much larger amount of data than normal. This was truly overwhelming the network in the building and causing adverse experiences for our patients and staff due to impeded work flow/ application responsiveness issues. Thank you for taking care of this so quickly. They were able to resume normal operations today with no issue.
I wanted to highlight the excellent work Mark has done at LCI 2. The project has gone extremely well. Mark has installed to his usual high quality, done a good job of updating me throughout the project, and also done an exceptional job of coordinating with the other trades. I’ve been very pleased with his performance.
I just want to let you know that your service tech Eric did a wonderful job, he actually repaired two of the units and got the keypad reprogrammed to work rather than simply replacing the devices. He also sent an email after each day to update me on his progress. Once, again, it was a wonderful experience and I look forward to working with him in the near future.”

I had a contractor that I usually use for access control back out on me last minute. This created a tough situation for the VA as our Agent Cashier was on schedule to open this Monday morning. Your technician Eric spoke up and said that he would do the job. Eric did not want to leave the VA in a bind. The end result, is Eric and I stayed until 9:00PM on a Friday night to meet the VA’s deadline. Eric’s hard work ensured that the VA’s mission was not compromised due to another contractor’s inability to complete a job.
Just want to give credit to a few of the guys who work with you, Donn and Aaron. They both arrived on time and on the scheduled installation date, a very nice first impression! They were polite and cleaned up behind themselves (another bonus). Both Donn and Aaron worked in our office while patients were here, and to be honest I forgot they were here most of the time. Our office is older and I am sure they had some hidden obstacles but moved forward in a timely manner. I was impressed with their professionalism and customer service.
I wanted to take a minute to bring attention to the above and beyond work being performed at our Pawtuckett campus. This particular project is becoming a high profile opportunity for CMS and the quality of work we are receiving from your workforce is exceeding expectations. They were innovative and helpful while installing an access control system, replacing old doors, and even tuning up some existing doors that they were not required to check. I would like to extend our appreciation for the safety conscious efforts of Aaron and Mark during pre-conversion work at Stanly last night. they encountered an exposed electrical cable, on a live circuit, stubbed out in the frame. Recognizing the risk this hazard bared to the facility, Aaron and Mark swiftly took action. Some technicians may have disregarded this matter as “not their problem,” but Aaron and Mark chose the appropriate response, they took action and saw the matter through to completion. Our hats are off to these gentlemen, and we sincerely applaud the fine example which they have set.
I wanted to thank Joel for the fantastic job he has been doing for CHS Projects lately. His hard work and dedication has really helped us out during our difficult amount of projects and the Amag conversions at CHS Facilities. Not only did he complete excellent quality work himself but we have seen him help his coworkers as well. He comes in early and stays late and even use his lunch break to help pitch in and get things done. Furthermore he does this all with a fantastic attitude and willing disposition. We really appreciate all that he does to make us successful.
Greg and Nathan are both doing very well. I could not be happier. Both Greg and Nathan have done much to pick up the slack and help us get things done. With them around we are able to think more strategically than in the past. Greg has a great ability to foresee what needs to be done, and does it without being asked. He is very intuitive and picks things up quickly. You would not be able to tell that he hasn’t been around here for ages. Nathan has taken our e-cylinder program and done much to help us get it off of the ground. He has also communicated our needs to Medeco when I haven’t had time to deal with some of the issues that we have been having. His willingness to stay on top of things has assured me that we can have the best rollout of this new platform as possible.
I would like to extend my sincerest appreciation, on behalf of the CHS Physical Security team, to three exceptional volunteers (Mark, James, and Daniel) who offered to lend their time to perform an automated migration of our 94 existing Nodes. They graciously accepted with appreciation for the enormous task that lay ahead of our team. Going into the day I anticipated the Node migration ending sometime around midnight. Thanks to the monumental efforts of Mark, James, and Daniel, our task was accomplished in just under 12 hours. To say the least, their performance and efficiency far exceeded my expectations. They worked tirelessly, running from site to site testing devices and performing any other requested tasks. With our upmost gratitude, we truly couldn’t have done it without them.
David is very talented and knowledgeable man. He has been a great help and mentor to me over the past few months. I don’t know that I have ever worked with anyone who is more detail oriented and passionate about their responsibilities. He always goes above and beyond the call of duty. His intentions are always to improve, teach or help someone. I am most impressed with his willingness to always help and go the extra mile, no matter what else he has on his plate or the consequences of stepping outside the process. David is a true asset to SAF and to CHS. I am thankful for the opportunity that I have to work with him and will look forward to what else I can learn from him going forward.
I would like to acknowledge James for his performance pertaining to the installation of the access control in the Labor and Delivery Department at CHS Cleveland. James did an exceptional job of interfacing the access control system with the fire alarm, elevator and HUGs Systems. He communicated well with the other vendors, and even found mistakes that they needed to correct in order to pass a stringent DHSR Inspection. His professionalism with the staff was excellent. This was a particularly difficult project as it was not only classified under N.C. Special Locking; the department was also fully functioning during the entire project! James is truly an outstanding technician and representative of SAF Technologies!
Our training space had several issues recently involving the front door locking itself from the inside, effectively trapping people inside the space. Bob from SAF arrived on site within minutes and quickly and professionally analyzed the issue and repaired it, pointing out the previous issues that had not been repaired, and in fact had been made worse by the previous vendor’s repair attempts. As always, you and your team were able to resolve issues when others could not, and Bob did so quickly and professionally allowing us to start using the space again within minutes. It is a blessing to have such a resource to call upon.
I appreciate the outstanding customer service and professionalism that Ed provides every day. He is valued and highly regarded for the fantastic job he has been performing. The Security Technology team also knows that before, during, or after hours he is always available. Not only does he perform excellent quality work himself, but I have also seen him help his coworkers often. Furthermore, he does this all with an extraordinary attitude and eager disposition. Thank you, Ed for your hard work and dedication to Atrium Health. The Security Technology team really admires all that you do.
I wanted to take a moment to recognize Reuben for his commitment to Extreme Customer Service®. I was paged about an issue at Behavioral Health-Charlotte at approximately 10:45 the evening of June 19th. The issue turned out to be significant in that both adult inpatient units were not secured, creating a potential safety issue for the patients, facility and community. After speaking with facility leadership, I decided to dispatch a different vendor since they had been working in the area earlier in the day. After a few hours with minimal communication, this vendor determined that the issue could not be fixed and left the facility. Knowing that we were now in an extremely dire situation, I decided to page SAF’s on-call teammate, Reuben. Despite it now being the middle of the night, Reuben promptly met me on site and worked to promptly resolve the issue. I am very thankful for his calm demeanor (important in that type of facility), prompt response and his methodical troubleshooting efforts. He is a great asset to your team.
I wanted to take a moment to commend SAF Technologies for a job well done. During a DHSR inspection, the DHSR inspector identified a Life Safety issue with a set of doors outside of the construction space. SAF’s response was excellent. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that you all had already sourced the needed parts and had them delivered to CMC without further prompting from me. Complicating matters further, the space we were tasked with working in houses our most vulnerable patient population from an immune system standpoint. Once again, SAF stepped up to the plate and volunteered the use of your recently purchased mobile containment unit. Mr. Conder and Daniel Rimmer arrived early and completed the remediation efforts. They were courteous and, most importantly, extremely cognizant of the patient population they were working around. They adhered to the expected infection control measures and maintained a productive and professional demeanor despite numerous safety, construction and infection control personnel that seemed apt to watch their every move. They were able to quickly troubleshoot an unexpected wiring/power configuration matter and all items worked as expected on the first test attempt. I cannot reiterate how important that last statement is. With their attention to detail, they were able to perform this work once and avert a need to constantly re-enter the ceiling or open a wall plate in such a delicate environment, further reducing risk to our patients. Thank you all for your work and for being great partners. P.S. Your containment cart was a huge hit with Construction Management, Infection Control, Corporate Safety, Structured Cabling, JE Dunn and Custom Communications. I have a feeling that the containment cart company may owe you all a letter of thanks for the amount of new business they may be about to receive.
Mr. Ray Berry called me this morning and asked that I pass this along to you. Eric Roman and Reuben Bassett handled a service request (ST 14947) for Mr. Berry on Thursday, February 15th. He said that he has had “the best” work for him in the past (referring to Alan having worked for him : ) ) and that his 1 day evaluation of these too fellows was that Eric is very good at what he does and he was very impressed with his work. He then said that at first Reuben watched what Eric was doing (as he was supposed to) and then dove right in to help out. In addition, there was a camera that was positioned in the wrong direction and Reuben noticed that, confirmed with Mr. Berry how he wanted it, then proceeded to get his ladder out and repositioned it. Mr. Berry said that Reuben was “a diamond in the rough” and that he should be “groomed for bigger and better things”. I could actually feel his passion through the phone for the impression that he got from Eric and Reuben visit last Thursday. : )
